Prime Minister Modi announced the central government’s new policy for Covid-19 vaccination. From June 21, the Central government will provide free coronavirus vaccine to states for all above 18 age.

The government will now buy 75 percent of the jabs from vaccine makers, including 25 percent of the state quota, and give vaccines free to states.

ALL YOU HAVE TO KNOW:-

• Every citizen above the age of 18 will be vaccinated free at central and state government centres.

• For vaccination at private centres:-

1. Citizens have to pay.

2. The maximum cost that could be charged per dose by private centres is Rs 780 for Covishield, Rs 1,410 for Covaxin, and Rs 1,145 for Sputnik V.
